Mary Anderson,
CEO Trade Partners
|
Ms. Anderson is the past President of I.E.Canada, Canada’s national
association of importers and exporters, and current President of the
Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce. Mary has nearly 30 years of experience
in the international trade arena. As the former Director of the Canadian
Trade Office of the Council of Great Lakes Governors, she managed a
team of consultants tasked with providing quality support and guidance
to companies from four U.S. states seeking to market products and services
in Canada. She was recognized by the Governor of Pennsylvania for the
outstanding achievements of the Canadian Trade Office.
In her current role, Mary supports the work of Trade Partners and
the Brazil-Canada Chamber. She is a key contact for both business and
government officials, and is respected for her broad perspective and
balanced approach to trade issues. She is a noted international speaker.
Mary obtained an MBA from the University of Ottawa and holds an Ontario
Teacher’s Certificate. She is a member of several boards and committees
and is currently serving as the Chair of the Board for FITT (Forum for
International Trade Training). She is a Director of the Trade Facilitation
Office (TFO). Mary was recognized for her commitment and outstanding
support for women’s international business development by the
Organization of Women in International Trade in Toronto.

Alma Farias, Managing
Director
of Trade Partners

A native of Monterrey, Mexico and now a Canadian citizen,
Alma has been a consultant for over twenty years providing outsourced
management and business development services for Canadian and Mexican
companies. Alma has been very successful in assisting organizations
conduct business development abroad by developing government relations,
international contacts and distribution networks. Her extensive experience
also includes coordination of visits of high level international delegations
and organizing international conferences and trade missions. She is
currently active on promoting and facilitating the establishment of
manufacturing subsidiaries in Mexico in sectors such as automotive and
aerospace among many others. Also, Alma is Ontario Representative for
Trade Facilitation Office (TFO) Canada, an organization that promotes
trade between Canada and developing counties. Alma is a chartered accountant,
obtaining her degree in Monterrey, Mexico. She holds certificates of
specialization in Industrial Costing and Human Resources Management
obtained in Montreal, Quebec and Kingston, Ontario. Alma is a co-founder
of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Monterrey Mexico, and is also
co-founder of the Organization of Women in International Trade, (OWIT)
– Monterrey Mexico Chapter. She has served on the OWIT Boards
of Directors internationally and for Toronto- and Monterrey Mexico Chapters.
Alma also served as Vice President of the Canadian Council for the Americas
and the Brazil Canada Chamber of Commerce in Toronto.

Gail Morris, Managing
Consultant of Trade Partners in Toronto

Gail Morris is a native of Atlantic Canada with over twenty years
experience in Canadian, U.S. and International markets. Gail specializes
in facilitating international trade. Her background includes 15 years
of sales and marketing experience with a large North American customs
broker and logistics service provider.
As Managing Consultant of Trade Partners she provides business development
services for international companies looking to enter the Canadian market
place and also business matching services for Canadian companies with
expansion plans into the United States, Central and South America. Her
portfolio includes clients from a diverse group of industries from environment
and energy, biotechnology and life sciences to hi-tech and automotive
industries who have all successfully expanded their businesses or developed
collaborative partnerships in new territories. Gail also has an on-going
contract with the State of Illinois Canada Office as an International
Trade Specialist where she supports their efforts in the promotion of
Trade, Foreign Direct Investment and Tourism. She has a qualification
certificate with the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers, and is an
active member on the Board of the Organization of Women in International
Trade. Gail is fluent in French.

Alan Davila, Managing
Consultant of Trade Partners in Monterrey Mexico

A native of Monterrey, Mexico, and with over six years of experience
as a consultant, Alan's practice is focused on marketing and communication;
he has provided assistance with launching new brands and products into
the Mexican market for diverse clients including Telefonica Movistar
and Cemex among many others. Alan is committed to assisting foreign
companies, particularly during the exploratory stage to conduct business
in Mexico. Alan received his Bachelor's Degree in Law and Masters Degree
in Labor Law in Monterrey Mexico and he holds diplomas in Corporate,
Political and Advertising Communication from The Complutense University
of Madrid in Spain. Alan is fluent in Spanish and English; his teaching
experience includes instructor in courses in Sociology Research and
Ethics in Professional Development at University of Nuevo Leon.

Renate Buzon, Managing Consultant
of Trade Partners in Brazil.

CDI- Creation Design de Idéias e Pesquisas S/C Ltda. was established by Renate Buzon in São Paulo in 1996.The company’s undertakings include market studies for foreign and Brazilian companies, individual and group visiting programmes and co-ordination of trade missions.
Amongst CDI’s clients are foreign governments, international companies based abroad and in Brazil, representing a broad spectrum of sectors ranging from machines/equipment to renewable energy and oil.
Renate has 17 years of experience advising international companies
and as a result built a strong network of contacts and a wide spectrum
of knowledge.
